The last game in the trilogy of Metro titles that follow Artyom also does a lot of world-building work to connect the games back to the books, though there are still some minor differences. These issues aren’t enough to sink Last Light it’s most certainly a good game but 4A Games’ latest foray is certainly hindered by them. Several characters that would have died in "C'est la Vie" - including Artyom himself - are alive for the events of Exodus. Metro Exodus directly follows the events of this ending. "Redemption" is a much more thematic ending that touches on forgiveness and heroics different way than "C'est la Vie." However, both Artyom and the Baby Dark One agree that the Dark Ones may have earned their forgiveness by helping the Rangers defeat the Red Line. They explain to Artyom that they are leaving, as they believe the world would be better without their presence. Granted, I still killed quite a bit of people lol. Anyways so I learned that there are two endings, and that I achieved the canon one where the dark ones die. 2033 : bad ending Last light : Good ending Exodus : Good ending Sam story : Unknown Reply reply. "Redemption" ends with Artyom and the Baby Dark One in a field with the Baby Dark One's kin. A home for fans of the Metro book series, the games Metro 2033, Metro Last Light and. After the battle, players are given an epilogue that shows what the now-surviving characters did after the battle. The lesnitsky thing is hilarious anyways. You should treat other endings as 'what if' scenarios. You spared the Dark Ones, but Artyom nuked them, which is what I assume he did in the Metro 2033 book (I just started reading it, only 1/3 of the way in ATM). No i think he has to live too, its stupid I know. A lot of games with multiple endings have a 'canon' ending. It's advised to spare them, as they give you big boy points, and you don't have to get everything. This prevents Artyom's sacrifice and allows the Dark Ones (previously the main antagonists of the Metro series) to redeem themselves. Correction: If you have every other moral point then you can kill Pavel and get the good ending.Same goes for Lesnitsky. The interference from the Dark Ones allows the Rangers to easily overtake the Red Line forces. RELATED: Call of Duty May Be Going Back to World War II, but Could It Benefit From a Break?
